First-Person Perspective

From Augwiki

First-person perspective is the viewpoint of the person recounting their own experiences. Augwiki's Main Page presents its material as August Casso's account of their life, and explicitly notes that recollection is shaped by perspective and the time between an event and its telling.

Value of the viewpoint

[edit | edit source]

A first-person account can convey the author's own memories, feelings, and interpretation in a way a detached summary cannot. It can also explain why a particular event or transition matters to the narrator.

Limits

[edit | edit source]

A narrator's account is not automatically an independent verification of every event or another person's motives. Where an article makes claims with consequences beyond personal reflection, readers should seek reliable corroboration. The Main Page itself warns against treating the wiki as an authoritative legal record.

This page describes a reading lens, not a judgment about the truth of any particular story. For the site's own guidance, see How to Read Augwiki.
