August Casso (born 1997, legal name Brendan Case) is a Denver-based creator, grassroots activist, harm reduction advocate, IT technician, web designer, and veteran of the unhoused community. Operating across social platforms under the handle @august.casso ("Aug Unhoused 😎🗑️"), August has documented street survival, destigmatized substance use and neurodivergence, and provided unvarnished accounts of life on the pavement in Denver, Colorado.

August grew up in rural western Illinois, attending Spoon River Valley (School) and living in the small village of Maquon along the Spoon River. During high school, August was an accomplished member of the speech and drama team, coached by English teacher Kenny Knox, developing public speaking, rhetorical analysis, and stage presence that would later define their direct-to-camera video essays.
