Early Life & Background
August grew up in rural western Illinois, attending Spoon River Valley (School) and living in the small village of Maquon along the Spoon River. During high school, August was an accomplished member of the speech and drama team, coached by English teacher Kenny Knox, developing public speaking, rhetorical analysis, and stage presence that would later define their direct-to-camera video essays.
Family & Personal History
August's family background features deep midwestern ties alongside long periods of estrangement and hardship:

The Denver Arrival: On December 2nd, August returned to the pavement in Denver, Colorado. See full account at The Denver Arrival (December 2nd).
